Blackrock Casino recently hosted its annual dealer competition. Dealer Charles Mabuza, who came second in 2010, was awarded the top spot and will go through to the prestigious Tsogo Sun National Competition to be held at Montecasino in Fourways, Johannesburg in mid November. In second place was Nhlanhla Madidane, and in third place was Mlungisi Miya.

The competition was open to all blackjack and roulette dealers. They had to deal before a judging panel.

In addition to his “pass” to the National Champs, Mabuza also walks away with Blackrock Casino’s Best Dealer trophy and a cash prize.
“This competition is a great spirit-building initiative that, aside from providing a platform for us to pick who will represent us at the national champs, also serves to encourage healthy competition between our dealers and inspires them to raise the bar.
