To show their appreciation to the local Newcastle SA Police force, Blackrock Casino invited the team for a special brunch at the casino’s Mid City Grill restaurant on Wednesday 11August.

Over 23 members of the local SAPS enjoyed a meal with the general manager of the Blackrock Casino and Entertainment World, John McGregor. He thanked the team for all their hard work in keeping the community and tourists to the region safe during the 2010 FIFA World Cup period.

He accentuated that the SAPS is not often shown how much their hard work and dedication means to the residents of Newcastle. He also commented on how much they are valued and that the casino wanted to host them for a meal on this morning as a small token of their appreciation and to thank them for making Newcastle a safer place to live and work in.
