A delighted Mr Dove Nel from Vryheid was announced the winner of the Blackrock Casino’s Duke of Edinburgh golf tournament when he beat the first runner up with 44 points on 13 April at the Newcastle Golf Club.
With a 21 handicap, Nel is very excited to join the other regional winners at the final shootout which will be hosted at Pecanwood Golf and Country Club, Montecasino on 7 June.

The winner of the final shootout will have the rare opportunity to play in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Individual World Final and World Pairs Trophy in the United Kingdom later in this year. The prize includes:

- Hotel accommodation for 5 nights
- Entry into the World Final for the Duke of Edinburgh Cup

The Duke of Edinburgh tournament was established under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince Phillip. It attracts participation from over 10 countries around the world and has raised $4 million for selected worldwide beneficiaries and numerous local charities.
