Blackrock reaches out to St Anthony’s
Blackrock made it a point to invite St Anthony kids to the recently open Magic Company to enjoy the Games and Machines that the Kiddies Entertainment Area has to offer, this was a day well spent with the kids that could not stop smiling as they has great FUN!
Blackrock staff also accompanied the kids on their Educational visit to the SPCA, where the kids got to learn about animal care. The kids got to feel what its like to hold a puppy in your arms and have nothing but its best interest at heart. After a day with the animals you could not separate the kids from the oh so lovable animals. SPCA and Blackrock Staff made this day a memorable one for the kids indeed.
On the 1 August the Fire Department and Traffic Department teamed up with Blackrock staff visited the kids at St Anthony's Home. Kids were given lessons on road crossing, fire fighting and health & safety. St Anthony’s children were introduced to basic karate. At the end of the day 4 kids were selected to receive 5 yrs free training from JKA Newcastle excluding transport to the classes twice a week. The kids were treated to a braai by Blackrock after the days activities.
